The Verkhovna Rada (The
Parliament) of Ukraine has registered
bills aimed at the further improvement of the national export control system
Draft Law of Ukraine (No 10704) "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine
"On state control over international transfers of military goods and
dual-use goods" was registered in the Verkhovna Rada (The Parliament) of Ukraine. Its authors: O. Kuzmuk, V. Boguslayev, S.
Grinevetsky and A. Kinakh.
Draft Law of Ukraine (No 10564) "On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on
Administrative Offences and the Criminal Code of Ukraine on violation of
legislation on national export control" was registered in the Verkhovna
Rada (The Parliament) of Ukraine. The Members of the Parliament of Ukraine V.
Shemchuk, Y. Prokopchuk and V. Stretovich are the initiators of the bill.
The main principles of these projects, concerning
the improvement of legislation of Ukraine in the sphere of export control, previously were
discussed during the Round Table conducted at the premises of the Verkhovna
Rada (The Parliament) of Ukraine with the participation of the Members of the
Parliament of Ukraine, representatives of concerned government agencies and
international visitors. The Chairman V. Demiokhin, Deputy Chairman A.
Breslavets and leading specialists from the State Service of Export Control of
Ukraine also participated in this event.
Registered bills aimed at further improvement of the national export
control system and increase accountability for violations of national
legislation in this area. The adoption of these bills will improve the
operational efficiency of national export control of Ukraine, accelerate the adoption of important policy
decisions in this area and create more favorable conditions to carry out
foreign economic activity by domestic entities. It also will boost the
international prestige of Ukraine as a country that strictly adheres to its
international obligations in the sphere of export control, effectively prevents
uncontrolled proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of
delivery and unauthorized international transfers of military goods and
dual-use goods, while strengthening the export potential of our country.
